This works was to enable the South Ward to be segregated into 3 distinct functional clusters: The Gender Sensitive Area (North Wing) for the more vulnerable residents; the General Ward (central); and the Intensive Care Area (South Wing). A new, large external terrace/ deck area has been built and can be accessed directly from the new lounge and dining rooms, as well as the adjacent multi-purpose room.
