VMCH - Cluny house

This project involved a comprehensive refurbishment and reconfiguration of an existing 9-bed dementia care facility to increase its capacity to 12 residents, creating a more functional and supportive environment for both residents and staff. 

Key works included the removal of an existing bathroom and the construction of three new ensuite bathrooms, alongside three additional bedrooms, carefully designed to enhance privacy, comfort, and accessibility. 

A major component of the project was the construction of a connecting link to the neighbouring Corpus Christi building. This link improved accessibility between the two facilities, enabling seamless movement for residents and staff and fostering better integration of services. The connection also enhanced the overall care environment by supporting a more cohesive operational flow and providing opportunities for shared resources and communal activities.
